The short answer

Kaspa is its own Layer 1 blockchain with addresses that start with kaspa:. It is not a token on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, or any other network. That means generic multi-chain wallets like Trust Wallet, MetaMask, and Phantom cannot hold KAS — only Kaspa-native wallets and a few hardware devices can.

Does Trust Wallet support Kaspa?

No. Trust Wallet does not support the Kaspa network. There is no "add custom token" workaround either, because Kaspa is a native coin on its own chain — not an ERC-20 or BEP-20 token. Sending KAS to a Trust Wallet receive address will result in lost funds with no way to recover them.

If you want a mobile wallet for KAS, use Kaspium or the OKX Wallet app instead — then run a free Kaspa address lookup to verify the Kaspa balance before sending any funds.

Using Kaspa with Ledger

  1. Open Ledger Live and update your device firmware to the latest version.
  2. In My Ledger, search for Kaspa and install the app on your Nano S Plus, Nano X, or Stax.
  3. Open a Kaspa-aware interface — KasVault (web) or Kaspium (mobile) — and choose "Connect Ledger".
  4. Verify your kaspa: receive address on the Ledger screen before sharing it.

Best practices

  • Always verify the network. A KAS address starts with kaspa:. If a wallet shows a 0x…, bc1…, or any other prefix, it is not Kaspa.
  • Send a test transaction first. For any new wallet or exchange withdrawal, move a small amount of KAS before the full transfer.
  • Back up your seed phrase offline. Write the 12 or 24 BIP39 words on paper or steel — never store them in cloud notes, screenshots, or chat history.
  • Use a hardware wallet for long-term holdings. Ledger and Tangem keep keys off your phone or computer.
  • Beware of fake extensions and apps. Install KasWare, Kaspium, and OKX Wallet only from their official sites and verified store listings.
